PRE CARE

  1. Avoid taking blood-thinning medications or supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil for at least one week before your lip filler appointment, unless medically necessary (consult with your healthcare provider).

  2. Inform your healthcare provider about any medications, supplements, or herbal remedies you are currently taking, as some may interfere with the effectiveness or safety of the lip filler treatment.

  3. Refrain from consuming alcohol or caffeine for 24 hours before the procedure to minimize the risk of bruising and swelling.

  4. If you have a history of cold sores, discuss it with your healthcare provider as they may recommend antiviral medication prior to the procedure.

  5. Come to the appointment with a clean face and lips, free from makeup, creams, or lotions.

POST CARE

  1. Avoid touching or applying pressure to the treated lips for at least 24 hours to allow the filler to settle properly.

  2. Refrain from engaging in vigorous exercise or activities that increase blood flow and body temperature for 24-48 hours after the treatment, as it can potentially affect the distribution of the lip filler.

  3. Avoid exposure to intense heat, such as saunas, hot tubs, or sunbathing, for 24-48 hours after the treatment.

  4. Apply ice or a cold compress to the treated area intermittently for the first 24 hours to minimize swelling and bruising.

  5. Avoid consuming foods or drinks that are excessively hot or cold for a few days after the treatment to prevent additional swelling or discomfort.

  6. Maintain good oral hygiene, but be gentle when brushing or flossing around the treated area for a few days.

  7. Be cautious with makeup application around the lips immediately after the treatment. Avoid applying excessive pressure or rubbing on the treated area.

  8. Follow any specific post-care instructions provided by your healthcare provider, and schedule any recommended follow-up appointments to assess the results and address any concerns.
